Be a Presenter

Anyone, be it local, outsider, hobbyist, professional, student, or other, is welcome to be a presenter at any meeting. With a topic of their choosing, or one the group has requested. Simply update the wiki with information on the presentation as soon as possible, to provide adequate time for member notification. Then post to the list with the same information on the presentation.

Google Groups

You have a Linux question? We have several ways we can help you. One of these methods is the Google groups message board. Please visit our Google Groups Board and post your question there. The Google groups is a bulletining board where anyone can post a question and receive answers.

Discord Server

Discord is a free, versatile communication app specializing in text, voice, and video chat, designed for building, hosting, and managing private or public, topic-based communities called "servers." Our server named "JaxLUG" is where you can chat with group members, get event news, and Linux information. Access is by invitation, make an account in discord and search for JaxLUG server.

Meet UP

We post our monthly meetings information in MeetUp. Any changes in presentation, location, or other factors are proply posted in MeetUP. If you have a Meetup account, you will receive upcoming events announcements. You can join the MeetUP JaxLUG channel at MeetUP.com

Be Our Host

We are searching for a new Host location. If you have available space and want to contribute to a local community group.
Please contact our staff thru the Discord server, so we can meet.

Temporarily, we are meting again at the Public Library locations. Stay tune for address and room for the meeting. The Jacksonville Public Libraries have a NO food policy. However a closed drink bottle is allowed in the rooms.

Meeting Date & Format

We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month.

  • 6:00 PM - Regular arrival setup.
  • 6:15 PM - JaxLUG old/new biz, meeting topics, events, introductions
  • 6:30 PM - Presentation, Topics, Demo, Q&A
  • 8:30 PM - Conclusion, Summary, Presentation End
